Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will lead complex construction projects, from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will be able to manage diverse teams of internal staff, as well as sub-contractors, in addition to budgets, schedules and resources, while fostering and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders and vendors. This individual will ensure our projects are completed on time, within budget, to the highest quality standards and in adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
Duties /Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of project management, to include, planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement and execution;
Oversee the development of project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs;
Lead, mentor and inspire project teams consisting of sub-contractors, design professionals, project owners, or their representatives and inspectors;
Host project meetings at least once a week with said team to discuss project progression, provide feedback, advice and project updates;
Manage budgets and monitor costs to ensure profitability;
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, as needed;
Act as the primary client contact, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals;
Coordinate with architects, engineers, sub-contractors and vendors for seamless delivery;
Monitor project progress, resolve issues proactively and adjust plans, as needed;
Ensure compliance with all safety standards, building codes and company policies;
Prepare schedules, solicit and approve sub-contractor proposals, process change orders, as needed;
Maintain accurate documentation and update company CRM regularly with notes, timelines and completion records.
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive recent experience in a senior project management position;
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or similar discipline, a plus;
Holder of PMP certification, a plus;
Proven success in delivering projects on time and within budget;
Proficiency in industry-related software applications to include Google Docs, Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat;
Experience with BuilderTrend and/or Planswift, preferred;
Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
Astute time management, attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, planning, effective multi-tasking, problem-solving, analytical, follow-through, customer service skills and ability to work to tight deadlines;
Ability to work effectively alone and within a collaborative team environment.
Compensation:
$125K –$150K DOE annual base salary, for this full-time, exempt position.
Benefits:
80 hours of paid vacation annually, which begins accruing on start date;
40 hours of standard CA-paid sick time, allotted in a lump sum after 90 days of employment and annually at the 1 st of the year thereafter;
Medical, dental, vision insurance paid by employer at $575 per month toward the employee’s insurance premium coverage; $250 per month toward each dependent’s insurance premium coverage; eligibility for enrollment is after 60 days of employment;
6 paid public holidays annually.
Working Hours:
7:00AM –4:00PM Monday – Friday; additional time and weekends, as required.
Location:
San Luis Obispo, CA onsite and various client locations throughout San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara County.
