POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Primary School is seeking personable and enthusiastic professionals fluent in English, French, German, Spanish or Chinese, to serve as substitute teachers for grades 3K – 5.

Substitutes are booked on an on-call basis as needed for half day, full day, and extended subbing schedules throughout the school year.
Please note there is a specific need at this time for substitute teachers who speak Chinese and German.

The ideal candidates will have strong classroom management skills, familiarity with hands-on teaching practices, relevant experience with primary school students, and the ability to teach multiple academic subjects. We provide substitute teachers with as much advance notice as possible, a lesson plan from the classroom teacher, administrative support, and competitive compensation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience teaching, tutoring and/or working with youth is preferred
• Regular and reliable attendance
