Primary Responsibilities:

Surgical Assistance:

• Assist oral surgeon during surgical procedures (extractions, implants, biopsies, IV sedation, etc.).
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments and instruments.

Patient Care:

• Greet, seat, and prepare patients for procedures.
• Take and document vital signs, medical histories, and post-op instructions.
• Provide patient education and answer questions with empathy and clarity.

Radiology:

• Take digital radiographs and CBCT scans as needed.

Instrument & Operatory Maintenance:

• Sterilize and organize instruments and supplies; clean and reset rooms between patients.

Team Support:

• Communicate with the front office, billing, and other clinical staff for seamless patient flow.
• Support inventory management and ordering of clinical supplies.
• Compliance:
  • Follow OSHA, CDC, and practice-specific infection control protocols at all times.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Dental Assistant Certification or Oral Surgery Assistant training (Preferred, but not required—training available).

Experience:

• Prior dental, surgical, or medical assisting experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate!
• Comfort with patient care, aseptic technique, and EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
