Wound Care on Wheels, LLC is a patient-centered wound care provider dedicated to helping individuals heal from chronic and non-healing wounds. Our focus is on evidence-based, compassionate care — delivered with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.

We are seeking an experienced and Wound Care Certified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a part-time basis . The ideal candidate is clinically strong, reliable, and passionate about improving patients’ quality of life through excellent wound management.

Position Summary

The Wound Care Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, treating, and managing acute and chronic wounds using established clinical protocols. This includes performing thorough wound assessments, cleaning and dressing wounds, performing debridement when appropriate, and educating patients on wound prevention and self-care.

You will collaborate closely with the care team to ensure optimal healing outcomes and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Perform wound cleansing, dressing changes, and debridement (if trained and permitted by license).
• Accurately document wound status, treatments, and patient progress in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper wound care, nutrition, and infection prevention.
• Communicate effectively with providers, assistants, and other care team members.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards at all times.
• Participate in ongoing clinical training and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Wisconsin.
• Wound Care Certification required (WCC, CWCN, CWS, or equivalent).
• Minimum 1–2 years of wound care experience preferred.
• Skilled in wound assessment, treatment, and documentation.
• Strong communication, organization, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time position: Approximately 24 hours per week
• Flexible weekday schedule (no nights, weekends, or holidays)
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience and certification
• Mileage reimbursement
