Position Mission

The systems administrator will be responsible for level two systems administration support for Parasol’s clients. The systems administrator will support implementation of project task work as determined by each client’s strategic project roadmap. The administrator will also be responsible for onsite technical support as determined by client needs. The administrator’s focus will be primarily on systems and server related project work as well as tickets escalated from the service desk.

Responsibilities

  • Level 1 and 2 support for client issues.
  • System support for servers, virtualization and email environments.
  • In depth problem solving for servers and systems.
  • Assist in the design of internal Parasol Alliance systems and tools for optimal security and performance management.
  • Detailed documentation within service tickets on issue steps and resolution.
  • Excellent customer service on the phone, via email and in person.

Requirements

  • Healthcare experience preferred; long-term healthcare support experience is a plus.
  • At least five years of systems administration experience in an enterprise environment.
  • At least five years’ experience working with systems support, configuration and management.
  • Experience with multiple enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Microsoft Server, Windows Operating Systems, file shares, printers and copiers, phone systems, Exchange, basic network support, desktop hardware support.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
  • The position is largely self-motivated and self-structured. The right candidate will be driven to be challenged and to succeed.

Position Expectations

Within the first 30 days the Systems Administrator will be accountable for:

  • Learning and adhering to established policies and standards as defined in The Culture File
  • Learning and leveraging Parasol provided tools and systems
  • Demonstrating competency in role responsibilities based on the above metrics

Within the first 60 days the Systems Administrator will be accountable for:

  • Meeting and maintaining the above metrics while carrying a ticket load of 15-20 tickets
