About Us

Advanced Diesel Performance is New Mexico’s premier diesel and gasoline repair facility,  known for delivering honest, high-quality service with integrity and precision. Our team is  growing, and we’re looking for a reliable and motivated Shop Helper / Parts Runner to  support daily shop operations and ensure smooth workflow throughout our busy repair  facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying active, and  learning the ins and outs of the automotive and diesel repair industry.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver parts and materials locally.
• Assist with tool and equipment setup and delivery.
• Maintain overall shop cleanliness and organization.
• Restock supplies, fluids, and materials as needed.
• Support technicians and mechanics during repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Handle material movement, order fulfillment, and waste/scrap disposal.
• Perform basic equipment cleaning, maintenance, and light repairs.
• Help with inventory tracking and control.
• Safely transport vehicles between sites when needed.

Technical & Equipment Skills

• Proficient with basic hand and power tools.
• Experience in forklift operation (certification a plus).
• Comfortable operating and parking vehicles safely.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and shop systems.
• Ability to perform light repairs and shop maintenance.
• Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks

Driving & Logistics

• Perform local deliveries to vendors and customers.
• Follow all safe driving practices and traffic laws.
• Plan and execute efficient routes for part runs.
• Load and unload materials safely.
• Maintain basic documentation for deliveries.
• Support fleet upkeep, fueling, and inspections.

Workplace & Soft Skills

• Reliable and punctual — shows up ready to work daily.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Good time management in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs as needed.
• Follows directions and safety procedures.
• Maintains a positive, can-do attitude.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (clean driving record preferred).
• Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
• Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
• Previous shop, warehouse, or delivery experience is a plus.
