Rockydale Quarries Corporation, an established aggregate producer in the State of Virginia, is looking for an entry level Utility worker (Pit) for its Roanoke, Virginia location.

Duties include filling in on mobile equipment as needed, shoveling, greasing, and general labor duties . Must possess the ability to operate skid loaders, heavy duty off-road earth or rock moving equipment (such as rigid frame/articulated haul units, off-road haul trucks, and/or wheel loaders), and other pieces of heavy equipment; be able to perform preventative maintenance such as greasing and clean-up; and know basic functions of various types of heavy equipment. Must be able to multi-task and be mechanically inclined.

Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions and in a mining environment. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Must have at least one year or more of training or proven experience with similar or same equipment machinery, and have basic knowledge of equipment mechanics. High school diploma or GED required.
