Colorado's #1 Professional Pet Sitting Team is seeking new Team Members! As You Wish Pet Sitters is currently hiring exceptional Pet Sitters to join our wonderful team. As You Wish is an established and well-loved company in the Denver suburbs. This is a wonderful opportunity for former nurses and vet techs!
MUST LIVE in Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree/ Parker Colorado area to apply for this position!
Additionally you must be:
- A highly motivated professional over 21 years of age
- Able to function as an independent contractor/licensee of As You Wish and will be compensated on a per job, not hourly basis
- Available nights, weekends and holidays to apply for this position. Overnight availability a plus!
- Available from 6 am - 9 pm. Most of the sits will be 7 am - 8 pm however there may be instances where the homeowner would like you to visit at different times.
- Willing to function in not only a team but also an individual environment.
- Extremely detail oriented!
Pet Sitter - Requirements and Qualifications
- Must have a car, auto insurance, and a clean MVR.
- Must be extremely detail oriented.
- Must be able to follow instructions.
- Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable.
- Must provide & pass a criminal background check
- Efficient time management skills a must.
- Must be able to self-manage.
- Must be a motivated, self-starter.
- You must respect client confidentiality.
- You must have a deep love of animals to apply for this position.
- You must be able to walk dogs on the appropriate or designated leash.
- You must be able to administer first aid as necessary during the dog visit. This would include cuts to paws, feet, noses and/or insect bites, etc. (training available)
- Must feel comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large animals, prior animal training or behavior training a plus
- You must possess the ability to take detailed notes and communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
- You must possess the ability to market your business to potential clients and business partners.
- You must have a cell phone preferably with text message capability and also be comfortable using a computer to generate reports and complete schedules.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Activity Level: Medium –Walk, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle, hear and see. Be able to walk up to 5 miles daily Occasional—Lifting up to 35 lbs. (Lifting dog into and out of vehicle or onto bed if necessary)
Environment:—Indoors for 50% of the time
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of Pet First Aid/CPR training course.
- As You Wish encourages on-going training in animal related behavior, a professional certification course or attendance at the annual NAPPS conference.
