Sprout and Thrive is a pediatric therapy clinic in Snohomish dedicated to helping children and families grow through play, connection, and evidence-based interventions. Our team of occupational therapists work with mental health professionals and family educators to support each child’s emotional regulation, sensory needs, and developmental milestones in a joyful, family-centered environment.
We’re growing our multidisciplinary team and are seeking a compassionate Play Therapist who shares our belief that play is the language of children and connection is the foundation for healing and growth.
The Play Therapist will provide direct therapy to children and families using play-based and developmentally attuned approaches. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with neurodiverse children (autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences) and enjoys collaborating closely with occupational therapists and families to create cohesive care plans.
Conduct intake assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
Provide play-based therapy sessions for children (individual and small group).
Integrate approaches from child-centered play therapy, DIR/Floortime, and other evidence-based models.
Collaborate with occupational therapists, caregivers, and educators to support carryover of skills.
Maintain clinical documentation and progress reports in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
Participate in team meetings and family consultations.
Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work.
Active Washington State License (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, or associate-level accepted with supervision).
Specialized training or certification in Play Therapy (RPT or working toward RPT preferred).
Experience working with children ages 0–12 and their families.
Knowledge of sensory processing and emotional regulation is a plus.
Collaborative, warm, and flexible communication style.
Part-Time: Approximately 10–25 hours/week , flexible scheduling depending on caseload and client needs. We highly value therapist's work/life balance and work in a Sprint Based Model that allows for frequent breaks for therapists and clients to recharge and practice their skills. Compensation: up to $65/hour (depending on credentials, experience, and licensing).
Optional contract, 1099 or W-2 arrangement.
