Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is currently accepting CVs from Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine AGACNPs/PA-Cs to join their employed physician group on the West Coast of Florida. FPG Pulmonology specializes in the areas of
Pulmonology, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine . This premier group of over

Role & Responsibilities :
- Full time AGACNP or Physician Assistant (PA-C) position.
- Hospital-based positions working thirteen 12-hour shifts per month (including weekends) rotating between the SMH-Venice Hospital and SMH Sarasota Campus.
- Day-shift position working 7AM – 7PM and/or night-shift position will be 7PM-7AM.
- Work collaboratively with Pulmonary/Critical Care (Intensivists) at each hospital along with other subspecialties to provide the best patient care.
- Circulate the units, evaluate patients, review daily notes, labs and studies to identify patient needs.
- Discuss care plans with RN’s and enter orders accordingly.
- Review ABGs, vent settings and plan accordingly with Respiratory Therapists (RTs).
- Address cross coverage issues to include abnormal labs or changes in patient condition.
- Provide stabilization of patient if deterioration occurs.
- Will place central lines, perform intubations, participate in stroke alerts, and respond to house-wide codes when needed.
- Responsible to complete admissions to the ICU and step-down units.
Requirements: - Current NCCPA or ANCC certification required and must also have an active license by the State of Florida by the time of hire.
- Board Certified Physician Assistant, Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has active, relevant and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 500 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).
