Job Description: Promoter/Product Lister

Position Summary

The Promoter/Product Lister is responsible for researching the value of donated items, accurately listing and promoting these products across various online platforms, and coordinating donation pick-ups. This role also supports the marketing team with occasional printing and assembly tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at presenting products effectively to maximize visibility and sales.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and evaluate the value of donated merchandise to determine fair and competitive pricing.
  • Create accurate, compelling listings for items on platforms such as eBay and the organization’s website.
  • Photograph items to highlight quality and features in a visually appealing way.
  • Promote listed items to boost visibility and increase sales conversions.
  • Coordinate and schedule donation pick-ups with community donors.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from potential buyers.
  • Maintain organized inventory records of items pending, active, or sold.
  • Track, report, and analyze sales performance to adjust pricing and listing strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance listing strategies and drive marketing efforts.
  • Assist with special printing, assembly, or promotional projects as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong research and analytical skills for product valuation.
  • Proficiency with e-commerce platforms (e.g., eBay, Shopify, or equivalent).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time independently
  • Basic photography and photo editing skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in online sales, product listing, or digital marketing preferred.
  • Familiarity with online resale markets and pricing trends.
  • Experience with basic photo editing or listing tools is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Capable of lifting and moving items up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to handle, photograph, and inspect merchandise.
  • Visual acuity to ensure accurate product descriptions and listing quality.
  • Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Internet navigation and database use
  • Inventory and Point-of-Sale software
  • Online HR/payroll systems
