Job Description A postdoctoral position is available in the department of chemistry at Syracuse University. The research mainly focuses on the optical and electronic properties of low-dimensional nanomaterials (1D quantum rods, 2D quantum plates…) for green energy applications. Experience with colloidal solution-phase synthesis, photo-catalysis, manipulation of air sensitive compounds using glovebox and Schlenk-line, material assembly, characterization of nanomaterials using electron microscopes, X-ray diffraction (XRD), XPS, electrochemical analysis (CV, EIS), and GC are desirable. The position is available immediately and the start date is flexible based on the mutual agreement between the PI and applicant. The position is for one-year but renewable based on the candidate’s performance and funding.

Qualifications Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, or a closely related field.
