Job Description

Job Title: Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (Day Shift)

Contract Length: 14 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift (Shift 1)

Hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Position Overview

A dedicated Travel Physical Therapist Assistant is needed for a 14-week day-shift assignment in a rehabilitation-focused care environment. The PTA will work closely with the supervising Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality therapeutic care, support patient mobility goals, and contribute to ongoing recovery progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility support to residents.

  • Monitor, document, and report patient progress and responses to therapy.

  • Ensure safe and proper use of therapy equipment and assistive devices.

  • Support patients in achieving mobility, strength, and functional independence goals.

  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams regarding patient status.

  • Follow all facility safety, infection control, and therapy protocols.

Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted PTA license/certification.

  • Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience (SNF/rehab setting preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic interventions and patient mobility techniques.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with therapy teams.

  • Must take a 30-minute meal break per shift.
