American Vascular Associates is looking for a full-time  Medical Coder. Specializing in Interventional Radiology/Vascular Surgery. We are a national company based in Florida and we are growing fast! As a medical coding specialist, you'll join our network of enthusiastic professionals who collaborate with the best minds in the industry.

Duties:

• Review and approve medical dictations for correct CPT and ICD-10 coding. E&M, diagnostic and procedural knowledge for office-based labs specializing in IR and IC.
• Assist with NCD review and coaching of clinic staff as necessary and as requested.
• Assist billing team with denial management as necessary and as requested.
• Assist billing team with submitting corrected claims and/or appeals.
• Analyze, identify and prioritize workflow through a variety of reports.

  Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED required; Associates Degree preferred
• (3)+ years of medical coding experience/knowledge or
• (2)+ years of medical coding specializing in Interventional Radiology and/or Interventional Cardiology
• Must have strong written and oral interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with clinic staff and coworkers.
• Proficient with computers; Practice Management/Clearinghouse software and Excel
• Must be able to identify issues and problem-solve.
• Must be self-motivated and able to meet monthly quotas.
• Understand Explanation of Payments/Benefits from all insurance carriers.
