Job Description

Our client, a commercial electrical contractor serving the Puget Sound region, is hiring three Commercial Electricians for ongoing projects in downtown Seattle and the Eastside. The company specializes in tenant improvements, new construction, and service work for office buildings, retail, and light industrial.

Projects range from small TI buildouts to large ground-up construction. Current backlog includes two Class A office towers and a mixed-use development in Bellevue. Overtime is available and the company provides a van and fuel card for service technicians.

The company has been in business 30 years and promotes from within. Several current project managers started as apprentices.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems in commercial buildings per NEC and local codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Rough-in conduit, wire, panels, and devices
  • Terminate and test circuits for proper operation
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs
  • Coordinate with general contractors and other trades
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Mentor apprentices on job sites

Requirements

  • Washington State Journeyman Electrician license required
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial electrical experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings
  • Experience with conduit bending including EMT, rigid, and MC cable
  • Knowledge of NEC code requirements
  • Valid driver's license with clean record
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work from ladders
