ACE Healthcare has current openings for a full-time, benefits-eligible, Direct Support Staff Week/Weekend Shift at our Upper Darby, PA location . Sign-On Bonus:

Sign-on bonuses are now available! Based on your weekly hours or shift offered, you can receive up to $300 after completing your first 90 days of employment. After 180 days of continued and successful employment, you can receive another bonus up to $300!

Available Shifts:

• Saturday and Sunday.
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
• PRN.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED plus four years of related work experience is required OR Two years of college plus two years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related field.
• CPRP certification preferred.
• A valid state driver’s license and the ability and willingness to drive an agency van are required.
• Must be able to write and speak English in an understandable manner.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information required.

Essential Functions:

• Participate in the development and implementation of service/recovery plans reflecting the individual’s preferences, goals, lifestyles, and interests.
• Schedules medical appointments for consumers.
• Provides transportation for appointments, outings, etc.
• Performs administrative duties, including accepting/delivering accurate messages, filing,
• Prepare meals, perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties;
• Supervises, assists, and trains consumers in self-care and independent living skills, including bathing and all areas of personal hygiene.
• Participate in the development and implement the ISP.
• Assists consumers in food shopping, preparation, serving, cleaning and care of home, laundry, personal hygiene, menu planning and implementation, etc.
• Documents consumer progress and other necessary documentation.
• Ensures confidentiality of consumer records.
• Performs related work as required.

Physical Demands:

• Lifting is required.
• Ability to lift at least a minimum of twenty (20) pounds.
• Ability to physically assist individuals in personal care.
• Ability to perform common household cleaning activities that involve: consistent standing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and walking.
• Shovel snow off of walkways, sidewalks, and porches if applicable.
