About the Role

Our Landlord/Tenant/Habitability represents landlords and property management companies relating to all aspects of building safety and health code issues in rental properties. Associates work closely with lead attorneys daily, engaging in all phases of litigation—from case evaluation and discovery to trial presentation—focusing on strategic thinking to achieve client goals. We seek candidates who are eager to learn, highly self-motivated, and interested in long-term professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Attending court hearings, participating in site inspections, taking and defending depositions.
• Drafting extensive written discovery, including preparing and responding to interrogatories, documents requests and request for admissions.
• Evaluating, analyzing, assessing, and executing litigation strategies.
• Proactively manage communications with clients throughout the course of litigation.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, preferably within a law firm setting.
• 1+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to manage and meet deadlines.

• Salary starting at $120,000 - $160,000 + bonus . Compensation will be set based on experience and qualifications of the successful candidates education and experience.
