Job Description

Adelphi is seeking Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants to provide services to students at a school district in Jasper, Texas. The ideal candidates will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic activities and programs designed to assist students with disabilities, and will provide direct support for student therapy needs in accordance with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and school district guidelines.

Requirements:

• Current certification from NBCOT and state licensure as a COTA/OTA in Texas

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Perform activities that help students develop basic motor skills, functional life skills, and cognitive skills.
• Monitor students' progress and communicate observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
• Assist in educating staff and parents about the therapeutic needs and strategies for students.
• Provide services in compliance with established guidelines and standards of care.
• Any other duties as assigned.
