Apply NowAlready have an account? Log in first Assistant Golf Professional Golf course in Westchester, Illinois is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional. Position Overview: Work in all areas of the outside operation. Responsible for being attentive to all member and guest needs while maintaining a clean, organized work environment throughout all three areas of the outside operations: Practice Facilities, Bag Room & Cart Barn. The staff is relied upon to work efficiently and effectively and uphold the standards of the club and the expectations of its membership. Duties include, but are not limited to: • Providing exceptional service to the members and guests alike. • Greeting all members and guests, engaging each individual with a smile and polite communication. • Assisting members and guests in any way before their round. • Cleaning, maintaining, staging, and storing golf carts. • Assisting in tournament setup, breakdown, and execution. • Maintaining, picking, and filling all practice facility amenities. • Ensuring all outside amenities are adequately stocked, cleaned, and presentable. • Performing all other tasks deemed necessary from the professional staff. Practice Facilities: • Consistently present practice facility in a neat and clean fashion everyday. • Keep chipping greens clear of golf balls after member and guest use. • Rake all bunkers after member and guest use. • Keep teeing area clear of broken tees when possible. • Communicate with starter to ensure players head to the first tee in a timely and orderly fashion. • Communicate with golf instructors to make sure they have all supplies necessary for their lessons. • Make sure the practice facility is fully stocked with golf balls in all necessary stations by periodically picking and cleaning used golf balls throughout the day. • Clean all golf balls hit onto the range before presenting them for use again. • Work with golf professional staff with extra duties during tournaments and events. Bag Room: • Maintain an up to date bag storage book that matches assigned bag slots for ease of bag retrieval. • Always be present and visible to meet and exceed member expectations. • Clean all members clubs before storing them after play. • Communicate with golf professional staff to pull members golf bags in a timely fashion. • Check rental sets to make sure no clubs are missing after use. • Always keep bag storage area clean and presentable. • Greet and assist all members or guests coming off the course and/or driving range. • Work with golf professional staff with extra duties during tournaments and events. Cart Barn: • Always maintain the daily cleanliness and restocking of cart fleet. • Always keep cart barn clean and organized. • Utilize cart rotation program for equal use among cart fleet. • Follow detailing schedules to maintain spotless cart fleet. • Report all cart maintenance issues to immediate supervisor in a timely fashion. • Remain in communication with the golf shop staff to ensure proper number of carts are parked up top for member and guest use. • Work with golf professional staff with extra duties during tournaments and events. Requirements: Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively. Ability to work harmoniously with patrons and fellow employees. Ability learn and enforce course policies, rules and regulations. Ability to follow verbal and or written instructions. Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
